Setting up your site
This template allows you to make some decisions about how your site looks. If you have specific questions, please contact the Student Affairs Marketing department.
Accessing your site settings
Click on your sites top node (generally it has the name of your department) You will see a webpge with multiple tabs across the top.
Contact Details
Use the form on this tab to fill in your department's contact details. This information will show up in your site's footer.
The person listed as site owner is probably your director. This is the person who will be contacted if their are accessibility or other issues with your site that need to be resolved.
Theme
This is where you can set the colors for each of your navigation elements.
Use the Navigation Settings tab to indicate whether your site has a Topbar navigation bar, a Sidebar navigation panel, or both.
Local Footer Details
Use this tab to set up the specifics for your site-specific footer.
Size: Fat, Condensed or none
Fat: This includes a headline, descriptive blurb and list of links if desired. As well as your address, phone and email.
Condensed: Your address, phone and email.
None: No site footer.
Local Footer Heading and Footer Intro Paragraph
Enter any details you want to include in your site specific footer
Social Media Links
Click the Add Content bar to set up your site-specific social media links
Icons for these links will show below your address in your site-specific footer.
FooterLinks columns
Use these spaces to set up the columns of links that you would like to include in a fat footer.
Alert Details
Use this tab if you need to set up an Alert to notify your readers of ongoing critical events.
Activate the alert by checking the "Activate Alert" button.
Button Properties
You this page to set your default button color (red or crimson)
Site Settings
Typically you won't change anything on this site, with the exdeption of adding external navigation links.
Offsite Links
If you are going to include any offsite links in your sidebar navigation, use this space to set them up.
Changing your home node.
If you create a completely new home page, you need to select that new home page as your home node. You would do so, by clicking on remove to remove the current home node, then use the content picker to select your new home page.
Google Analytics Profile ID
If you don't have the code to put in here, ask your ASIS web coordinator to help you get the code.
