Access Center

Supporting the Access Center

The Access Center serves the WSU community by working directly with students, staff, and faculty to ensure that all WSU students have equal access to the WSU environment. We currently serve over 6% of the student body, and every year, we receive close to 500 new applications. We are always striving to find new ways of creating inclusive spaces on campus in order to serve the growing need of students with disabilities and chronic medical conditions.

Recently, with the assistance of our generous donors, we were able to implement a new online management system that streamlined our entire office, making the process of accommodations easier and more efficient for students and faculty.

With your help, we will be able to continue our efforts in creating equal access.

Our plans for the future:

  • Implement our new online management system on WSU urban campuses.
  • Purchase assistive technology that will promote independence and universal design.
  • Update our current proctoring office in order to create a more accessible testing space.
  • Increase the number of student scholarships.
